Abstract

An attempt is made to link the dynamical behaviour of a particular type of disease-myocardial infarction- to policy issues in the emergency medical services system. Analytical and simulation models are developed that should be useful as planning, research and management tools for urban public safety system. In certain cases it should also improve the state of knowledge regarding the cause of crime and/or the dynamics of diseases.
