Abstract
This study evaluates factors that significantly influence the equivalent road traffic noise level, Leq and develops models for the industrial town of Asansol, India. The study shows that Leq values are mainly influenced by the hourly traffic volume. Day time data reveals a stronger relationshipthan night data.
