Abstract

Only dynamic models are able to show the behaviour in changing circumstances. Adaptive rule models can do so with a great accuracy for very limited, mainly elementary, driving tasks: the maintaining of the course and speed. Statistical models have only a limited efficiency. An exception is the detailed analysis of McKnight and Adams. This method can be used as a data base in which everything necessary to participate in traffic in a correct way is recorded.
