Abstract

The objective of the research reported in this article is to model decisions with respect to car ownership and mobility. To this end joint discrete - continuous models are used. Regimes based on car ownership and number of driving licenses held are distinguished. Car ownership decisions can be affected by considerations other than preferences with respect to mobility.
