Abstract

The results of an experiment investigating aspects of the interaction situation car drivers use to form their expectations are reported. Subjects were asked about their expectations of an interaction situation presented on a slide (with regard to the development of the situation). Subsequently, the subjects sorted the responses, and the results of this sorting task were analysed using HOMALS. This experiment is set up in order to achieve a more detailed understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of drivers in interaction situations. Eventually, based on this understanding, we will be able to formulate requirements for ADAS that take the interaction process into account. (Author/publisher)
