Abstract

The modular crash cushion has been subjected to 6 full-scale vehicle crash tests. Three of these tests were head-on impacts, 2 were at an impact angle of 30 deg., and 1 was at an impact angle of 20 deg. The photographs and data reported in this paper show that the modular crash cushion was highly effective in stopping vehicle with acceptable levels of deceleration.
