Schon in den 1970er Jahren wurde gefordert, in der Fahrerlaubnispruefung nicht nur Regelwissen, sondern unter Verwendung audiovisueller Medien auch seine korrekte Anwendung im Verkehrsverhalten zu erfassen. Ausgehend von diesen Ueberlegungen wird im vorliegenden Artikel ein Vorschlag unterbreitet, wie die Faehigkeit zur Bewaeltigung von Verkehrsanforderungen mit Hilfe strukturell veraenderter Pruefungsaufgaben realitaetsnaeher und ganzheitlich erfasst werden kann. Als theoretische Untermauerung dieses Vorschlags wird in Anlehnung an Crick und Dodge (1994) ein Modell der Informationsverarbeitung in Verkehrssituationen erarbeitet, das die sozial-kognitiven Anforderungen an Verkehrsteilnehmer bei der Bewaeltigung von Verkehrssituationen beschreibt. Auf Basis dieses Modells wird ein neuer komplexerer Aufgabentypus skizziert, der zugleich Anregungen fuer eine Weiterentwicklung der Fahrschulausbildung liefert sowie den Fokus von Ausbildung und Pruefung auf die Verringerung des Anfaengerrisikos lenkt. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: In the 1970ies it was already demanded to not only acquire the knowledge of rules and regulations in the driving test, but rather their correct application by using audiovisual media. On the basis of these early ideas, this article makes a proposal on how to assess a person's ability to manage traffic situations in a more realistic and integrated way with the aid of newly structured test items. As a theoretical foundation of this proposal a model of information processing in traffic situations built on the model of Crick and Dodge (1994) is developed that describes the social cognitive requirements of traffic situations faced by traffic participants. Based on this model a new and more complex task type is outlined that also implies ideas for further development of the driving education and changes the focus of both education and driving tests to the eduction of the beginners' risk.
