Abstract

In practical driving tests there are two main obstacles: the conditions of testing cannot be kept constant and the testing is carried out on people by people. Greater degrees of constancy in the test conditions can be achieved if the process of testing is not left to chance but planned in advance, as far as possible. Planning of this sort implies that the driving test is regarded as a sequence of typical driving situations.
