Abstract

The Pan American Health Organization, through its country offices in the Region, collected some basic information around 1969 and again around 1975. From the comparison of the data obtained in those two surveys, it is possible to conclude that motor vehicle accidents have become a serious problem, continuously increasing in all but only a few countries.
