Abstract

Understanding the kinematics of the motor vehicle occupant during collision assists in analyzing the declaration and compression forces created on collision and permits an efficient approach to modifying the forces that lead to human tissue injury. Engineering research and developments can provide the standards for improving the hardware and enviroment, but must rely upon the medical experts as involved partners in the early planning stage of vehicle and roadway design so that modifications in human tissue injury are inherent in our overall transportation system.
