Abstract

A retrospective study has been made of 77 cases of motorcycle accidents. The injury pattern is frequently predictable and this knowledge can be vitally important in the early and continuing treatment of these patients. A relative low mortality rate has been reported but, in spite of this, it is believed that further driver education and better government legislation are mandatory to prevent this problem from becoming epidemic.
