Abstract

Motorcycles have become a popular transport mode mainly because of the high price of petrol and the congestion in cities. Accident studies have revealed that daytime conspicuity plays a major role in motorcycle accidents. Various conspicuity aids have been tested. The use of headlamps during the day and fluorescent orange clothing showed the most promise.
