Abstract

Two aspects of motorcycle crashworthiness are investigated. One area involved developing preliminary specifications and appropriate testing procedures to assure that fuel systems are adequately safe under impact conditions. The second area explored the severity of rider injuries that could be expected when an automobile impacted the side of a motorcycle at speeds up to 30 mph.
