Abstract

Trends in motorcycle accidents are reviewed, techniques for avoiding collision are submitted, and the incorporation of these techniques in Canadian motorcycle training courses is reported. The death rate for motorcyclists is 20 per 100 million miles traveled in the United States as compared to 4.7 per 100 million miles for all vehicles. Age, experience and skill factors in motorcycle accidents are discussed.
