Abstract

A retrospective study of 324 patients hospitalized because of motorcycle trauma is presented. Among these 324 cyclists treated during a 2-year period, 10 died and 42 others had severe permanent disability. Efforts to decrease the number and severity of motorcycles should include: education, crash helmets, driver education and specific licensing.
