Abstract

Motorcycles can travel at least as fast as - even faster than - passenger cars. But motorcycle riders lack the protection of an enclosed vehicle. It isn't surprising, then, that motorcycles are especially dangerous, and they 're getting more so because of increased acceleration capabilities. This edition of IIHS Facts addresses the problem.
