Abstract

Details are given of a one-year investigation into the student population who had motorcycles. Estimated daily mileage was determined and an attempt at relating motorcycle mileage to demographic characteristics is described. The number of accidents was recorded and estimates of annual mileage established in order to formulate an index of accident rate. A comparison between the student population and the state-wide population of motorcycle drivers is presented.
