Motorway control information system : starting with ITS in Slovakia.

Abstract

The paper deals with the implementation of Motorway Control and Information System (MCIS) in Slovakia. The building and operation of the system is described. There is an explanation of the architecture of technology and algorithm philosophy, their co-operation in the system, the communication possibilities and software condition. The standardisation of MCIS is described in three parts: the Communication, the External and Internal Devices and the Application Software Alignment. The part of the logical architecture of the system is listed. The system is described from the operator point of view.
