Abstract

This study is concerned with consumer behavior in the residential development process and focuses on both the mobility of households and on the processes of housing and neighbourhood choice. Using information obtained from a representative sample survey of households in metropolitan areas across the United States, the study identifies key variables underlying the behavior of households with respect to both residential mobility and residential choice.
