Abstract

Since 1995, many child safety campaigns have encouraged drivers to move children from the front seat to the safer back seat. NHTSA’s National Center for Statistics and Analysis (NCSA) recently completed an evaluation of the effectiveness of these campaigns. This research note provides details of this analysis, which show that these programs seem to be working and have yielded numerous positive results. (Author/publisher)
