Abstract

Multidisciplinary planning, complete with citizen participation, should be utilized to give community validation to broader transportation concepts. Design teams must be put to work earlier in the game, and more people must be involved in the design process. At the regional level, all of the social and physical needs and goals of the community should be factored into a series of objectives for regional growth with guidelines for transportation services on an intermodal basis.
