Abstract

The DRIVE-2 project EURO-TRIANGLE intends to build up multi-modal traffic management and information systems in three regions, to interconnect them and to test the crossborder exchange of traffic information. This paper describes the situation in one of the regions - in NorthRhine-Westphalia -, the existing infrastructure, the plans for the future and the pilot to be conducted in the framework of DRIVE-2. The project has strong relations to other projects, and will apply and test the developed pre-standards, thus forming a first step for a European network. (A)
