Abstract

In this paper the PROMETHEE methods and the GAIA visual modeling technique are used in order to evaluate priorities for twenty land transportation infrastructure projects provided with the highest budget in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region. This evaluation is in accordance with the region's development objectives as they were determined by the Regional Operation Programme 2000-2006 and the 3rd Community Support Framework. They are related to three areas - completion of road network, road improvements, intra-municipality infrastructures - and eighteen benefit and cost subcriteria, grouped into economic, environmental and social criteria categories, are used for the evaluation. For the covering abstract see ITRD E120462.
