Abstract

Vehicle drivers have recently made greater demands for receiving wide range of services such as Point-of-Interest guidance, traffic information, and entertainment as well as route navigation. However, the statically built-in application in terminal unit can not meet driver's variously changing demands every time. To address this point, a telematics terminal platform was developed to which new applications can be downloaded dynamically. On this platform, the output of important applications such as generated sound is prioritized even if the combination of downloaded applications is not estimated in advance. Therefore, the platform can provide improved services that are easily and safely understood by the driver. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
