Abstract

The multiple-car method was first used as part of a driver education program in 1936 at Chicago's Lane Technical High School by William A. Sears, a teacher at the school. In spite of the fact that the multi-car method has been published on the subject. In an attempt to close the knowledge gap regarding the multiple-car method, and to provide guidance to those considering the method, the Automotive Safety Foundation authorized preparation of this publication.
