Abstract

Within the frame of the Munich Comfort project, "EFA Realtime" is the first information system for local public transport in connection with an AVLC which is based on an integral approach. The project has been partly financed with research funds from the European Union. In the two years of its operation, the AVLC-based schedule information system within the framework of Munich Comfort has been widely accepted by the users. In the future, this dynamic form of schedule information will be available via diverse platforms. This presentation outlines the layout of the information system with which other systems are incorporated and the experiences operators have had with it so far. The author also examines the direction in which AVLC-supported schedule information can be extended and improved upon in the future.
