Abstract

MVESTM is a computer program for estimating trip origin destination matrices using a selection of data that is usually conveniently available. A feature of MVESTM is that it takes into account the differing reliability of this varied data. MVESTM has been recently developed by MVA Systematica with support from the Rijkswaterstaat (DVK). The paper describes the background to the method and comments on its results in application. The facilities for assessing the quality of the estimated matrix are explained.
