Abstract

Traffic data interchange established through the implementation of Traffic Data Interchange Networks (ET-NET) and Traffic Information Centres (TIC) will play a central role in the deployment of advanced driver information systems and in the achievement of a coordinated traffic management over borders in Europe. ARTIS project, in the framework of the DRIVE R & D programme, has performed a pilot test of traffic data interchange in Spain. Links between international, national, regional and local centres have been tested to provide a comprehensive analysis of the technical and organizational aspects in the traffic data interchange.
