Abstract

The Management and Reporting System (MRS) is designed to provide a comprehensive management framework within which the instruments of the Highway Safety Act can be integrated into the particular administrative requirements of federal, state and local governments. System implementation is accomplished in part, through the use of a series of documents designed to accomplish the following: Emphasize a Multiyear View, Guide Logical Decision-Making, Facilitate Review and Evaluation, Facilitate Updating and Minimize Paperwork.
