Abstract

This report describes the Optically Programmed Signal Efficiency Evaluation (OPSEE) research program and implementation throughout the country. The report compares and summarizes the before and after data collected at a laboratory of signalized intersection. The before and after data concerned intersection characteristics, vehicle and pedestrian volumes, erratic driver and pedestrian behavior, and accident records.
