Abstract
The 1978 /9 National Travel Survey (NTS) is the latest in a series of surveys designed to provide a national data bank of personal travel information for Great Britain. Included are data on: comparisons with other national travel surveys, general travel, journeys to and from work, in course of work journeys, journeys to and from places of education, other non- recreational activities, recreation, general characteristics of households and individuals, cars and car travel, and household access and vehicle availability.
