Abstract

Die Elektronik wird im Automobil immer mehr zum Antreiber des Fortschritts, wobei wesentliche Funktionen erst durch intelligente Verbindung von Elektronik, Mechanik und Software moeglich werden. Der mechatronische Systemaufbau bietet ganz neue Potenziale der Funktionsauslegung und Fertigungsrationalisierung. Erreicht wird dies durch eine konsequente Anwendung neuer Fertigungstechnologien, die sich in vielen Faellen an den Grenzen des heute Machbaren orientieren. Hybridschaltungen werden wegen der Robustheit ihres Aufbaus insbesondere fuer Steuergeraete im Motorraum von Automobilen eingesetzt. Der Beitrag beschreibt anhand von Produktbeispielen grundlegende Techniken und Verfahren, die zu echten mechatronischen Loesungen fuehren. ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: Electronic packages and semiconductors amalgamate to form mechatronic components. New production technologies, often used at the edge of technical feasibility, enable the synthesis of multifunctionality, robustness and attractive cost. Hybrid housings, produced in insert technology by overmolding electroplated stamping grids, form electronic control units, which can operate in aggressive environments, for example, motor compartments or inside gear boxes. Sensors often face similar conditions, so conductors, polymers and filler materials are plastic packaged with sealing resins, integrating connectors and cables (PLCD-Sensor). The LAMFRAME technology offers the function of flexible printed circuits, especially with windows in the dielectric, at attractive cost. Products serve in flat smart card modules as chip substrates, forming an outside connector interface at the same time. Flex foils offer new opportunities to exploit the potential of mechatronic solutions. For example, flex foils can be bent, twisted and folded to easily utilize a third dimension. These characteristics can be used in complex assemblies where several point to point connections can be made (MPI). Flex is lighter than cables and wires, thin and flat, which provides more surface area than regular wires, which results in better current-carrying capacity and heat dissipation. (Author/publisher).
