Abstract
This thesis evaluates the outcome of severely injured trauma patients. It describes a broad variety of aspects related to outcome, in terms of mortality and morbidity. Knowledge of the outcome after trauma seems to be a logical first step in future evaluation of the quality of trauma care in the Netherlands. (Author/publisher)
