Abstract

In this paper, the New Jersey Department of Transportation's computerised construction estimate program is described from the user's perspective. This personal computer-based system is used by resident engineers for inputting daily inspection data, information on materials received, and field personnel data. From these data the program produces various documents, including daily reports, weekly reports, item and materials status reports, and monthly progress estimates.
