Abstract

The Swedish capacity manual is ten years old and in several aspects surpassed by more recent methods. The work on a revised version has now resulted in new procedures for individual intersections, utilised in the computer program CAPCAL 2. Like its predecessor, the program is intended as a study tool for design and for the evaluation of different effects. Emphasis is placed on consistency when different design parameters are varied, for example the type of intersection control.
