Abstract

The system to be proposed here has been developed in order to avoid the objections raised against the previous systems. The basic idea is that a long range polarized meeting beam should be added to the headlight system (full and dipped) of today. The polarized meeting beam exclusively intended for use in rural areas (areas without street lighting). The system should easily allow mixed traffic and international traffic. A description is given of the functioning of the system in various situations. Transition principles are presented; expected costs and work in progress are mentioned.
