Presented here is the 2005 edition of New Zealand Road Safety Research. The information in this publication is collected each year in a survey of New Zealand research and funding organisations. It includes all reported research with a New Zealand component on any aspect of road safety being undertaken or completed during the year under review. The Ministry of Transport is responsible for fostering and coordinating road safety research in New Zealand. This summary report is published annually and distributed widely to New Zealand and international road safety contacts. Research projects described here are arranged alphabetically by title under six main subject areas: alcohol and drugs, data analysis, economics, engineering, human factors and miscellaneous.
