The increasing frequency of kidney damage within an overall growing incidence of blunt trauma of the abdomen is emphasized. Clinical symptomatology and X-ray diagnostics are discussed and illustrated by a number of cases. Late complications resulting from traumatic kidney damage not diagnosed in time are emphasized.
