Abstract

A brief review is made of what a motorcyclist encounters during night riding. One of the major considerations is driver vision, including the problems of oncoming headlights and eye sensitivity, the relaxation of eye muscles when alcohol has been consumed, and slow glare recovery of riders who smoke due to eye photochemical reaction slowdown from lack of oxygen.
