Noise from diesel fuel injection equipment.

Abstract

The noise of diesel fuel injection equipment has been compared with the noise of two quieter than average engines. The contribution from the individual components of the system to the noise of the complete engine have been assessed. The mechanisms of noise generation have been studied and practical noise control measures have been developed.
