Abstract

Accurate constitutive models can be of benefit in the finite element analysis of rubber industry automotive products such as tyres, hose, belting and tanks. The bilinearity is shown to occur at a non- zero strain level. A strain energy description of such a laminar is proposed, and its application to laminates is discussed. Laminate stress- strain relations are derived.
