Abstract

Each year in North Carolina, traffic accidents claim the lives of 20-30 children aged less than six. In addition, hundreds more children are seriously injured sometimes permanently. In a effort to alleviate this problem different groups have been involved in various programs aimed at educating parents of the problems inherent transporting children in cars and of the need to protect their children with safety seats and safety belts.
