A note on a use of stereophotography in tunnelling.

Abstract

Stereophotography offers a means of recording and measuring the profile of a section of a tunnel face. The method is described and selected stereo-pairs illustrating the cutting patterns on the faces of tunnels in chalk produced by pick and disc cutting tools are presented together with profiles obtained from these.
