Abstract

The O-Bus is a system for public transport by means of on-call vehicles. As compared with conventional systems for urban and regional public transport the .O-Bus is characterized by further developed systems in the field of management and communication. In the management three levels are considered:1) vehicle control, 2) vehicle management and 3) system management. Subsystems for communication are 1) network communication, 2) vehicle communication, 3) operator communication, 4) passenger communication, and 5) request communication.
