Abstract

A method of breaking down car interior noise measurements into aerodynamics noise, residual noise and aspiration noise is presented. Correlation between car interior aerodynamic noise extracted from " on the road" measurements and car interior aerodynamic noise measured in a wind tunnel indicate the validity of the method. Limitations of the method in both frequency and car airspeed are identified.
