Abstract

Differences in accident exposure for different lighting- and road conditions in different parts of Sweden and during different periods of the year are described. Lighting conditions refer to daylight/darkness and road conditions refers to bare ground/ice or snow. In all regions, accident rates in darkness are higher than accident rates in daylight in all road conditions.
