ror the expanding town of Zoetermeer a signposting systemwis devised based on the postal coding. It N,as introducedin 1974. It consists of roadside area maps along the ra-dial trunk roads, signposts with the area numbers and areamaps giving detailed information as one tets near to thedestination. Maps of neighbourhoods complete the informa-tion chain. The effects have been investigated both byinterviewing visitors to private and non-private adresses.Conclusion: the system is often used, altbough in mant'cases only partially. Some improvements are suggested.
