Abstract

Various hypotheses on the accident involvement of motorcyclists in the Netherlands are tested. Analyses included characteristics such as age, sex, experience of the motorcyclist, expressed in the duration of drivers licence, and type of driver education. Conclusions are among others that younger motorcyclists with a maximum of 3 years of their drivers licence have higher accident frequencies than older motorcyclists.
