Abstract

To improve the safety of pedestrians crossing the road pedestrian crossings, with or without traffic signals, are constructed. Often the waiting time, before it is possible to cross the road safely, is considered to be too long. Therefore many pedestrians take risks when crossing the road. This report presents an approach to measure which waiting time is still accepted by these pedestrians.
