Abstract

Training of motorcyclists does not seem to be systematically structured. Based on interviews carried out in 1981 it is concluded that the greatest chance to be involved in an accident is the first year of practice, and that those who took only a few driving lessons were less involved in accidents than motorcyclists who had been taking many lessons.
